Adaptive Diving Week 1st -7th December 2026

This September, I was part of Diving for Peace 🤿 , where seventeen Paralympians from across the world experienced adaptive diving for the first time. Athletes. Champions. People who'd conquered their sports but never had the chance to explore what lay beneath the surface.

The statistics are striking: 80% reduction in PTSD symptoms. Measurable improvements in physical symptoms. Enhanced sleep quality and psychological wellbeing that lasted weeks after returning to shore.


But what the numbers can't capture is the feeling, the enforced presence the underwater world demands, the relief from chronic pain and intrusive thoughts, the quiet wonder of weightlessness.


PADI's Adaptive Diving Week (1-7 December) celebrates these transformations, and this short documentary captures what I witnessed in Cyprus: genuine barriers being genuinely removed by the awesome team at PADI
